THE AL J. SCHNEIDER COMPANY CREATES RELIEF FUND FOR ASSOCIATES
Company to match $.50 for every $1 donated
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 22, 2020) – In an effort to provide associates with financial relief during times of crisis, The Al J. Schneider Company created the AJS Stands Together Relief Fund for associates who have experienced an unforeseen catastrophic or emergency situation. The fund is powered by donations, and The Al J. Schneider will match $.50 for every $1 donated.
“The current climate has created a difficult time for our business and especially for our associates,” said Scott Shoenberger, President and CEO of the Al J. Schneider Co. “It is our duty and our honor to support our associates in times of crisis, not only today, but in the future.”
In the first two weeks since the fund’s inception, the company has raised more than $15,000. Associates may apply for relief up to $500 due to unemployment, illness, loss of a family member, being the victim of a serious crime, and more. AJS Hotels’ associates, managers, shareholders and members of the public may donate via cash or check or can enroll in one-time or recurring payroll deductions.
The AJS Stands Together Relief Fund is just one of the ways the company is helping associates in their time of need. In addition to the relief fund, AJS Hotels has created a complimentary food pantry, stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, soups, milk, household goods and essential items, to all associates. The company is also paying health insurance for all its furloughed associates, and has provided for all associates, free of charge, a service called Teledoc, a web-based service which will connect them with a certified physician 24 hours a day.
